Member Update:
Disassociation from Landlords of Iowa
The Board of Directors of the Landlords of Linn County has unanimously voted to disassociate from the Landlords of Iowa. This decision was made after careful evaluation of member value and organizational alignment.
The Board determined that the cost of affiliation exceeded half of the annual membership fees without clear evidence of sufficient benefit or responsible stewardship. Protecting member value remains a top priority, and this change reflects that commitment.
What This Means for Members
While the formal relationship has ended, the organization remains committed to supporting effective state-level advocacy for landlords. Leadership is actively exploring alternative partnerships and strategies to ensure members continue to have a voice in legislative matters.
Non-members may still attend state conventions, and individuals who wish to remain connected to the Landlords of Iowa may continue to do so independently.
